On August 23, 2012, Rajesh Ranganathan, Ph.D., Director of the Office of Translational Research at the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke, National Institutes of Health, presented a seminar at the CSNE titled "NINDS Accelerates Therapeutic and Device Discovery & Development."  

The National Institutes of Health has announced the availability of "Lab to Marketplace: Tools for Biomedical and Behavioral Research (SBIR [R43/R44])" grant opportunities.  These grants should help move useful technologies from non-commercial laboratories into the commercial marketplace through small businesses that will further develop technologies that are relevant to the missions of the sponsoring NIH institutes and centers.
