CSNE Headquarters in Russell Hall (Suite 204, 1414 NE 42nd St., Seattle, WA) is now open. In addition to offices for Center staff, Russell Hall has a conference room, kitchen, breakout rooms, demonstration areas and a guest office. All CSNE students, staff and faculty are welcome to use these rooms for work related to the mission of the Center.
The ERC "Kick-Off" meeting was held on November 8, 2011, in the new CSNE headquarters in Russell Hall. Although construction in Russell Hall was not yet completed, the meeting was able to go on in the conference hall and "Discovery Pod" areas. NSF personnel provided CSNE faculty, students and staff with an overview of the ERC and guidance about how to proceed over the next five years. The meeting concluded with lab demonstrations (see photos below) and a dinner at the Portage Bay Cafe.
Construction of CSNE headquarters in Russell Hall (1414 NE 42nd St., Seattle, WA) has begun! The beautiful new space (see below) was designed by ZGF Architects. CSNE staff will take occupany of the new headquarters during the first or second week of November, 2011.
Construction plans for the new CSNE headquarters in Russell Hall are progressing. We are waiting for city approval to move forward and then bidding for the project will begin. The architects and building committee expect the project will move forward very quickly; the tentative move-in date is November 1, 2011. Below are some recent photos.
