Broadening the Representation of Academic Investigators in Neurosciences

"BRAINS: Broadening the Representation of Academic Investigators in NeuroSciences" is a national program to accelerate and improve the career advancement of neuroscience postdoctoral researchers and assistant professors from underrepresented groups. BRAINS is a new program created with funding from NINDS, and is now actively recruiting applicants for the first national symposium. Applications will be accepted July 1, 2012 through August 15, 2012.

New Non-major Neuroscience Course

University of Washington Department of Biology and CSNE faculty member Dr. Michael Dickinson will team with Dr. David Perkel to teach a new undergraduate course in neuroscience for non-majors.  Details of this new four-credit introductory neuroscience course are described in the November 1, 2011, issue of The Daily.
