Vamsi Talla, a University of Washington Electrical Engineering graduate student in the laboratory of Dr. Josh Smith, won the best student paper award at the WiSNet 2013 IEEE Topical Meeting on Wireless Sensors and Sensor Networks for his CSNE-funded research. Vamsi's paper, with co-authors Michael Buettner, David Wetherall, and Joshua R. Smith, was titled, "Hybrid Analog-Digital Backscatter Platform for High Data Rate, Battery-Free Sensing."
