The 12th Annual International Symposium: Systems Biology & the Brain will be held April 14-15, 2013 at the Institute for Systems Biology (Seattle, WA). Some of the world's most influential brain researchers are coming together for a two day dialogue on current research, advances and new technologies related to discovering and understanding the complexities of the brain. This year's event will have a special emphasis on the role of systems biology in generating a quantitative and predictive understanding of brain biology and complex neurological disorders.
The 6th International IEEE EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering, which will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina - CA from 6-8 November 2013, just before The Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting. Members of both the Neuroscience and Engineering Communities are encouraged to attend this highly multidisciplinary meeting.
The Nottingham Neural Engineering Workshop will be held in Nottingham, UK, from April 15 to April 26 2013. The workshop is being organized by Stephen Coombes (University of Nottingham).
Worskhop Abstract: Neural Engineering is an inherently new discipline that brings together engineering, physics, neuroscience and mathematics to design and develop brain-computer interface systems, cognitive computers and neural prosthetics. This two week workshop, primarily aimed at younger researchers, will bring together experts in these key areas to introduce and discuss concepts that underpin current research in Neural Engineering.
The 6th International IEEE EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering will be held in San Diego, CA, from November 5-8, 2013, prior to the annual Society for Neuroscience meeting. The conference will focus on emerging engineering innovations including sensorimotor neural engineering. The window for abstract and paper submissions will be March 1 through June 5, 2013.
The 18th International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics (ICORR) will be held on the University of Washington campus in Seattle, WA, on June 24-26, 2013. This biannual international IEEE conference will highlight current research from the world's leading research labs and clinics in the field of rehabilitation robotics. For registration, paper submission and program information, please see the 2013 ICORR web site at:
The 7th International Conference on Ethical Issues in Biomedical Engineering is seeking papers to be presented at Brooklyn, April 20th and 21st, 2013. This conference is sponsored by SUNY Downstate Medical Center and co-sponsored by the International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE), the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE); Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, and many other scientific societies and universities.
The Society for Advancement of Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) is a national organization serving a community of over 30,000 individuals, including professional and student scientists and engineers, with particular emphasis on producing achievements and creating national scientific leadership among the fast-growing Hispanic/Chicano, and the significantly underrepresented Native American populations.
