12th Annual International Symposium: Systems Biology & the Brain

The 12th Annual International Symposium: Systems Biology & the Brain will be held April 14-15, 2013 at the Institute for Systems Biology (Seattle, WA).   Some of the world's most influential brain researchers are coming together  for a two day dialogue on current research, advances and new technologies related to discovering and understanding the complexities of the brain. This year's event will have a special emphasis on the role of systems biology in generating a quantitative and predictive understanding of brain biology and complex neurological disorders.

Keynote Speakers:

IEEE EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering

The 6th International IEEE EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering, which will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina - CA from 6-8 November 2013, just before The Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting. Members of both the Neuroscience and Engineering Communities are encouraged to attend this highly multidisciplinary meeting.

Nottingham Neural Engineering Workshop

The Nottingham Neural Engineering Workshop will be held in Nottingham, UK, from April 15 to April 26 2013. The workshop is being organized by Stephen Coombes (University of Nottingham).

Worskhop Abstract: Neural Engineering is an inherently new discipline that brings together engineering, physics, neuroscience and mathematics to design and develop brain-computer interface systems, cognitive computers and neural prosthetics. This two week workshop, primarily aimed at younger researchers, will bring together experts in these key areas to introduce and discuss concepts that underpin current research in Neural Engineering.

Robotics and the Law Conference

Legal scholars and roboticists are invited to submit papers to the second annual conference on robotics and the law.  This meeting will take place at Stanford Law School on April 8-9, 2013

Deadline for proposals: January 18, 2013.
