Converting Bluetooth to Wi-Fi in embedded devices

CSNE research leader and University of Washington (UW) professor, Dr. Josh Smith is principal investigator of the UW Sensor Systems Lab, which has developed a way for embedded devices to harvest Bluetooth radio signals and use them to broadcast Wi-Fi transmissions. With further optimization, the team could use this technique to make a new generation of apps that process data from devices implanted in the body.
