Dr. Andrew Williams at STEM Conference

Dr. Andrew Williams (CSNE member and director of the Humanoid Engineering and Robot Systems Lab at Spelman College) attended a national convocation that highlighted best practices for improving science, technology, engineering and math education.  At the meeting, Dr. Williams exhibited one of the robots used by students participating in the Spelman College "Spelbots" program.  In the photo, Dr. Williams (left) shows the robot to Congressman Chaka Fattah (right) and NSF Director Subra Suresh (middle).  (Photo credit:  National Science Foundation)
