Industry

Working in industry. The Center develops enabling technologies in collaboration with large and small companies and to develop end-to-end integrated systems with small startups, including those created by Center researchers and students. Small companies access the benefits of the CSNE at low or no out-of-pocket cost and provide value to the Center by contributing highly specialized tools and intense technical/business focus for product development. These companies offer valuable opportunities for students to work closely and support development of IP related to the nearest term commercialization potential. Large firms focus mainly on overcoming barriers in enabling technologies to open new commercial platforms over the medium- to longer-terms. Clinicians and medical establishments provide expert insights into applications and will help researchers gain access to preclinical and clinical trials.

Companies interested in joining the Center are encouraged to contact Dr. Rad Roberts, (email: rad@u.washington.edu) the Center Industry Liaison Officer.
