Graduate Programs

Graduate student looking through microscopeCenter faculty will develop two new graduate courses, Principles of Sensorimotor Neural Engineering and Current Topics in Sensorimotor Neural Engineering.   Course materials will be disseminated to all partner institutions that have graduate programs. The UW will also offer a Graduate Certificate Program in Neural Engineering.  Following the University’s certificate program rules, graduate students will be required to take at least 15 units (typically 3-5 courses) from a list of approved courses. The two new courses will count toward certificate requirements, as will related courses that already exist in engineering, arts and sciences, and medicine as pre-determined by the Center’s education directors. The center also supports summer exchange of graduate students across participating schools to broaden the experience of graduate students within the US and internationally and to foster communication and collaboration between schools.
